For sale is Genuine Fake - a biography of Alan Watts - by Monica Furlong. In hard cover format with dust jacket and protective plastic jacket the book was published by Heinemann London in 1986 and is a first edition. There are 198 pages including b&w plates.
Alan Watts was seen as one of the most charismatic leaders of the 1960 s San Francisco Renaissance. His books became the bibles of the hippy movement, and his teachings - on Eastern religion, sex, psychotherapy, psychedelics - introduced thousands to new ways of seeing themselves and the world.
The cover shows signs of wear and tear including grubby marks and edgewear.
